Iris Volunteer Massage Therapist Scheme starts in Oban

Another exciting partnership development

This week Rie Emmers begins volunteering at North Argyll Carers Centre, providing a service for people with cancer.  The 2013 Iris Scottish Scoping Study identified the North West Highlands and Islands as being one of the geographical areas in Scotland which was disadvantaged in terms of cancer care massage service provision available.

North Argyll Carers Centre is also helping Iris identify links on Coll, Tiree, Colonsay and Mull, in order to offer one-off massage events on these islands next sping/summer.
